A NIWA forecaster says we're in for an active cyclone season in the South Pacific.
Cyclone Nat developed near Papeete in French Polynesia a few days ago, a the same time as another called Osai East of the Cook Islands, both have now been downgraded.
Meanwhile, another tropical depression lies West of Vanuatu and is expected to be named on Friday.
