Cost pressures pausing school building projects

The education minister has forced the chief executive at the Ministry of Education to apologise to a school over a delayed building project.

Kaipara College is one of the schools where major classroom builds have been paused due to cost pressures and roll number uncertainties.

The grovel came after the minister, Erica Stanford, discovered that the project had been badly handled.

So what about the other school projects also on hold?

Invercargill's James Hargest College is also in pause-mode at the behest of the government.
