The Darkness on the upside and downsides to fame

In 2003 The Darkness were everywhere. Their debut album Permission to Land launched the glam rock band into the limelight, a place it seemed they were destined for. By the end of 2004 the backlash was beginning, the wheels fell off pretty quickly. By 2006 lead singer Justin Hawkins had left the band citing various reasons and went on to form several other bands. But he never settled and in 2011 the band reformed and began produing new material.
