New Dunedin game lets kids make their own comic strips

From Nights, 10:45 pm on 24 January 2024

A blobfish catching the bus. A goat and a possum arguing on the moon. A worm detective solving a ghost mystery.

These are just a few examples of the kinds of stories players can bring to life with Spookysoft Games' Super Fun Wow Comic Creation Kit, released today.

The free-to-play game is an online creative environment for children (and adults) to make their own comic strips using a smorgasbord of hundreds of illustrations of characters, places and miscellaneous objects, designed by local artists.

Spookysoft creative director Stef Animal talks to Emile Donovan about the creative project.
