Former world discus champion Beatrice Faumuina says she wants to give something back after being appointed to the board of Sport New Zealand. Faumuina represented New Zealand at four Olympic and five Commonwealth Games and won two Comm Games gold medals. Faumuina's appointment to the Sport New Zealand board moves its gender parity to a 5-4 majority of female directors.
