The world premiere of Leila Adu's Rain as Blessings Fall, written as part of Orchestra Wellington's 'Composer in Residence' programme.
Adu was inspired by a Tibetan Buddhist prayer by Kalu Rinpoche and revised by her teacher, Lama Chima Shore.
Adu says: "I am creating musical colour fields of beauty that can be enjoyed by everyone…in these times of environmental danger and international greed, the planet is especially in need of blessings."
