Three excerpts: the opening chorus, the aria 'Bereite dir, Jesu', and the chorus 'Jesus bleibet meine Freude'.

Bach wrote his Cantata No 147, 'Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben', “Heart and Mouth and Deed and Life” for the Marian feast of the Visitation in July.

But it’s an expanded version of an earlier cantata of the same name written for Advent. So it's inclusion in a Christmas concert is not inappropriate.

The final chorus was arranged for piano solo and made famous by Myra Hess in her 'Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring'.
