The water was lapping gently at the piers just below Aotearoa's national museum, Te Papa.
Good enough, thought Three to Seven host Bryan Crump, for this week's sonic Moment of Calm.
Crump had been hoping to capture the sound of a Cook Strait ferry slowly leaving its berth, but that ship had already sailed.
Instead, further around the waterfront, he found some steps where he could get down below the wharf level out of the wind.
