Festival Artistic Directors Nicholas McBryde and Charlie Unwin discuss the importance of the Dunedin and Nelson Arts festivals to their communities. We find how much emphasis they put on collaboration as opposed to competition and ask the difficult question: how hard is it to stay in the black and what can you do if the box office doesn’t deliver? Both festival directors talk about some of the shows they are most excited to present this Spring.
