Bob has been part of the trust since the first Adam Chamber Music Festival in 1992 when he was the Director of the Nelson School of Music. And he’s been Manager of the Adam Chamber Music Festival for the last ten years.

In 2015, he was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to music.

On his website, Bob describes his job as 'making music happen'. And that’s what he’s always done – whether it be managing concerts and festivals, recording concerts and artists or providing live sound amplification. Or performing music himself, sometimes on the Irish pipes (Uillean pipes).

Eva Radich spoke to Bob Bickerton about where that love of music comes from.
