Fiji's Social Democratic Liberal Party will take further legal action if it needs to, to ensure the party's leader is eligible to contest the general election on Wednesday.
A ruling is due on Monday on an appeal against Sitiveni Rabuka's not guilty verdict for an electoral-related offence.
SODELPA candidate and former party leader Ro Teimumu Kepa said they were trying their best to prepare for whatever judgement the court makes.
"We have to try an exhaust as much as possible the legal mechanisms that are available to us in terms of getting him into the leadership role. Not easy."
Ro Teimumu said she was focused on her Team Kepa campaign and helping other candidates lift their profiles.
