Villagers at the scene of a massacre in Papua New Guinea's Hela province are traumatised and living in fear after at least 18 women and children were killed when tribesmen set upon the village of Karida, near the provincial capital Tari; Former New Zealand foreign minister, Sir Don McKinnon, who was instrumental in bringing peace to Bougainville in the late 1990s, returned to the region last week, just weeks out from a key referendum on independence from PNG; Fiji has huge potential for agriculture but it needs to modernise its sugar cane farming methods and branch out into other crops, according to Indian agricultural expert and businessman Jatinder Singh Wahan who's just completed two months in the country studying farming methods, and; Palau will host the 2025 Pacific Mini Games after the only rival bid from American Samoa was deemed non-compliant.
