A new regional initiative focused on peacebuilding has been launched.
The Pacific Women Mediator's Network believes that human rights-based approaches to conflict prevention leads to a more secure and stable Pacific region.
It will invest in leadership development for young Pacific women and hold the Pacific Forum Leaders to account on gender equality.
Programme Manager for the network, Sharon Bhagwan-Rolls spoke to Pacific Waves host Susana Suisuiki about the initiative.
