Pac leaders divided over Japan's release of wastewater

Pacific leaders are still disunited over Japan's release of over one-million-tonnes of treated nuclear wastewater into the Pacific.

That's meant to start this morning.

A Japanese government spokesperson says it is 'not willfully trying to divide the Pacific'. 

However, the Pacific Islands Forum Chair says diverging views remain and is set to be a "matter of priority" for discussion at the upcoming forum summit.
