The Cook Islands has shifted its focus from fighting Covid-19 to fighting non-communicable diseases or NCDs.
The country's secretary of health, Bob Williams spoke to a crowd of about 600 Pacific health professionals who made the trip over to Rarotonga for the Pasifika Medical Association Conference.
Mr Williams says about half of people living in the Cook Islands have NCDs.
He spoke with RNZ Pacific's Caleb Fotheringham.
