A politics professor says women in politics are unfairly targeted compared to their male counterparts in reaction to allegations labeled against two Fiji Cabinet ministers caught up on in a sex and drug scandal.
Earlier in the week Fiji's deputy prime minister Biman Prasad spoke with RNZ Pacific's Eleisha Foon who asked him about the allegations regarding two MPs.
Women's Minister Lynda Tabuya has been in the spotlight for an alleged affair with sacked education minister Aseri Radrodro during official travel last year.
Mr Radrodro was dismissed from the education portfolio last Friday by prime minister Sitiveni Rabuka concerning a separate issue.
But an inquiry is set to be conducted by Mr Rabuka's People's Alliance Party into Ms Tabuya's conduct as a result of the allegations.
