Moana Pasifika's new skipper, James Lay said he's humbled to be named captain and is excited to lead the team into the 2024 Super Rugby Pacific season.
The Samoan prop played for the Blues last season and also competed at the 2023 Rugby World Cup for Manu Samoa.
He was named in the Moana Pasifika squad late last year and just last week was handed the captaincy role by new Moana Pasifika head coach and former All Black captain Fa'alogo Tana Umaga.
