Fiji military stands by senior officer amid abuse allegations

The Fijian Military is standing by one of its senior officers facing allegations of human rights abuses.
 
Colonel Penioni (Ben) Naliva has been appointed deputy commander of the Australian Army's 7th Brigade.
 
Now the Australian Defence Force is investigating following inquiries from the Australian newspaper about abuse allegations.
 
Speaking with RNZ Pacific's Eleisha Foon, Fiji's military assistant to the Chief of Defence, Liutenent Colonel Eroni Duaibe says the Fijian Military rejects the allegations and is backing Colonel Naliva.
