New Zealand are overwhelming favourites to win the OFC Women's Olympic Qualifier tournament that is currently underway in Apia, Samoa.
In the FIFA world rankings, there is daylight between the 19th placed Football Ferns and the strongest Pacific team at the tournament, six-time regional champions Papua New Guinea who are ranked 50th.
But as RNZ Pacific's senior sports journalist Iliesa Tora reports, the Pacific Island teams at the event are not giving up without a fight.
