Fiji's Prime Minister will likely make the call on whether their women's minister embroiled in a drug and sex scandal will be dismissed.

The People's Alliance legal watchdog will provide an outcome by the end of the week after a complaint was made against Minister for Women Lynda Tabuya.

Her conduct is in question after allegations of a premarital affair and drug use while on a ministerial trip in Australia in August last year.

This could be the second political upheaval in the wake of the allegations scandal, a matter which has captivated the people of Fiji and threatened the stability of the coalition.

RNZ Pacific's Eleisha Foon spoke with People's Alliance Party general secretary, Usaia Pita Waqatairewa about the investigation involving its senior cabinet minister Lynda Tabuya.
