A New Zealand foundation is marking a milestone after providing 1000 scholarships to disadvantaged students who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford university.
Head girl of Taita College in Lower Hutt, Fekita Vea is the latest recipient of the First Foundation scholarship.
The proud Tongan says the scholarship will help kick-start her studies and future career once she leaves high school.
