Why women don't know they're having a heart attack

When most people imagine what it might feel like to have a heart attack, many first think of an intense crushing chest pain.

But around 20% of patients actually present with no chest pain at all, and women are less likely to have chest pain than men.

This according to a research project by Whitireia student and academic at Te Pūkenga.
