After 30 years living in France author nature and wildlife artist Desmond Bovey had a strong pull to reconnect with home and the landscapes of his youth.
Following a chance encounter with a native falcon/kārearea during a walk between Whakapapa and the Whakpapaiti Valley, he was inspired to write his book about the Tongariro National Park.
