OIO declines Tegel’s bid for 200ha chicken farm

Tegel's plan to build a mega farm in Northland to raise nine million chickens a year has been squashed by the Overseas Investment Office. Kāpehu marae is located next door and its chair Margaret Mutu has been among those fighting the development. She spoke to Alex Perrottet.
