National donation sparks new questions on foreign influence

A $150,000 donation to the National Party has raised fresh questions about foreign influence and who should be allowed to give money to political parties.

National received the money in 2016 from a New Zealand-company owned by the Chinese billionaire Lang Lin.

The Prime Minister says the donations goes against the spirit of the law, but the Opposition insists it was completely legal.
