KiwiBuild's last remaining and overarching target has been axed - with the government admitting the pressure of trying to meet the goal drove it to make bad decisions.
The flagship policy had promised to build 100,000 homes over a decade.
That's now dead in the water; instead the government will report monthly on its progress.
The Housing Minister Megan Woods has unveiled a suite of changes designed to get the policy back on track.
