Princess Diana's sons have slammed the BBC over a 1995 interview with their mother - saying it contributed to her paranoia.

An inquiry has found journalist Martin Bashir was 'deceitful' and used fake bank statements to obtain the world exclusive interview, during which Diana famously said "there were three of us in this marriage".

The report describes the BBC's own probe into the incident at time as "woefully ineffective" and concludes the broadcaster covered-up.

Prince William said the interview should never be aired again. Meanwhile Harry the Duke of Sussex says 'the ripple effect of a culture of exploitation and unethical practices ultimately took her life'.

Royal correspondent Victoria Arbiter explains in more detail the findings of the investigation by retired judge, Lord Dyson.
