Laurel Hubbard has admitted she's felt the intense spotlight on her, but hopes her Olympics appearance encourages young trans people.
The weightlifter became the first openly transgender woman to compete at the games when she took part in the women's 87kg-plus category last night.
But she came last after failing to complete a successful snatch lift.
