Israel is calling up 300,000 army reservists as it ramps up its counter attacks on the Palestinian militant group Hamas.
The group staged a surprise highly coordinated attack on Israel on Saturday, killing hundreds of civilians and taking multiple hostages including children and the elderly.
Israel has announced it will cut off all supplies to Gaza including power, water and food; the territory is home to an estimated 2.3 million Palestinians.
