Green MP, formal mayoral candidate and father of two Fa'anana Efeso Collins, has been farewelled in a colourful celebration filled with singing, laughter, tears and hymns in South Auckland today.
Over two thousand have gathered for his public memorial, including the Prime Minister, the leader of the Opposition, and the co-leaders of the Green Party.
The 49 year old collapsed and died last week at a charity event in Auckland Central raising funds for fresh water to people in the pacific.
