A burning question; should the government take GST of sunscreens and make it cheaper to guard against melanoma?

New Zealand skin care brand, Raaie has launched a petition asking the government to remove the 15% tax on SPF products in New Zealand, something Australia has already done.

Melanoma kills more than 300 New Zealanders a year.

According to one forecast by 2025, skin cancer will cost the New Zealand health system around $300 million a year.
