NZ Engineers design rugby hemet to protect against concussion

A group of engineers are working to reduce childhood concussions in our national sport. In 2019 there were almost three thousand ACC claims for rugby players with concussion; and more that half were from players aged 10-19.

Dr Natalia Kabliuk from the University of Canterbury's Department of Mechanical Engineering is part of a team designing a helmet to help protect children from concussion.
