Thermal imaging to be used in search for missing hiker

Thermal imaging is expected to be used in the search for a British tramper missing in Mt Aspiring National Park. Stephanie Simpson, who's 32 and originally from Essex but lives in Wanaka, left to go tramping over the weekend. When she didn't turn up at work on Monday morning the alarm was raised, with land and air searches taking place. Phoebe Crawford also hiked up to Brewster Hut on Saturday, and told reporter Tess Brunton the conditions were perfect.
