Cloud seeding not taken up in New Zealand

It has been a very wet winter here in Aotearoa, meanwhile China recorded its worst drought conditions since records began. To counter this, the country has turned to a technique that involves firing rockets into clouds to induce more rainfall. Cloud Seeding may sound like something out of a science-fiction movie, but it has been put to use by many countries around the world, often as a way of boosting hydro power. Yet here in New Zealand, it's never really gotten off the ground, as Tom Taylor reports.
