The rising cost of university accommodation in NZ

Its that time of year where the kids are off to University, getting their first taste of independence. But as the cost of living continues to rise so does the cost of going to university. Living away from home is also costly, with some halls of residences charging more than $23,000 a year. And that's without university fees. .. pretty soon burning a couch will be unaffordable! Leonard Powell talked to first year uni students and a University boss about balancing the books.
