Civil Defence in Westport is closely watching the Buller River, after high tide hit at 7pm. Floodwaters have cut off the town today,prompting a state of emergency to be declared as homes were inundated. More than 60 residents have already been moved to higher ground. Westport residents evacuated last week were warned to prepare to evacuate yet again. Civil Defence Controller Sean Judd has the latest.
