Employment termination for those faking Covid-19

The number of active cases of Covid in New Zealand is currently nearing 200,000 with over 19,000 new cases today. These numbers are putting the country's workforce under enormous strain as people self-isolate and take time to recover. However, for some, the temptation to fake it and say they have Covid when they haven't might be too much. Employment law specialist and senior Associate at Jennifer Mills & Associates Ethelred Chey joins Karyn to explain what actions employers can take if they are suspicious of an employees Covid diagnosis.
