Today the British Government have put out an official press release headed "UK exposes sick Russian troll factory plaguing social media with Kremlin propaganda" saying a troll factory is targeting politicians and baiting audiences across a number of countries including the UK, South Africa and India. Dr. Sanjana Hattotuwa is a researcher with the Te Pūnaha Matatini Disinformation Project and specialises in social media communications strategy.
