Stuffed Kiwi destined for space

NASA first launched a super pressure balloon from a base at the Wanaka airport seven years ago and the team in New Zealand would have continued with their work except Covid-19 forced them to shut up shop and head back to the States in 2020.

With the borders open, they're back, and NASA's Balloon Programme is underway again, with a launch scheduled for next week if the weather is good..... and a little stuffed kiwi will be onboard. Karyn Hay speaks with Chief of NASA's Balloon programme, Debbie Fairbrother.
