London did it 20 years ago and now Auckland motorists are faced with the likelihood of being charged to drive on inner-city roads as soon as 2025. The government is expected to make an announcement next week on congestion charges for the CBD in a bid to tackle vehicle emissions and to take some traffic off Auckland's choked roads.
