The company behind the WOMAD brand is confident it can put on a festival in New Plymouth next year, even though the local organiser is pulling out of the 2021 event.
The Taranaki Arts Festival Trust (TAFT) says with the global uncertainty surrounding Covid-19, it was too risky for it to be involved.
The WOMAD International director, Chris Smith, told our New Plymouth reporter, Robin Martin, he's optimistic the show will go on.
