The Paralympics are finally underway, with the Opening Ceremony taking place in Tokyo last night and New Zealand's first athletes in action today. Just like the Tokyo Olympics, there was major concern Covid-19 would prevent the Paralympics from actually taking place. The former New Zealand paralympics swimmer, former team chef de Mission and current International Paralympic Board member, Duane Kale, told Māni Dunlop it had been a nervous wait for everyone.
