A house fire in Sumner on Sunday night has put ten people in hospital. A neighbour who saw the Christchurch house go up in flames says there were enormous sheets of flames 'shooting up to the heavens'.
Lynda Simcic told RNZ reporter Maja Burry she thought the three-storey building was being rented as an Airbnb property.
She said the people staying there had lost everything in the fire.
