Iranian's refugee claim fails but NZ asylum granted
An Iranian man who has been living a lie as a refugee for 20 years has been allowed to stay despite his tale of persecution unravelling. He claimed he escaped to New Zealand after his father and brothers were executed. But when he was arrested for importing drugs, Customs found documents showing his story had been made up. RNZ reporter Gill Bonnett has been looking into the case.
