Govt urged to raise parental leave payments

Experts are urging the government to increase parental leave payments in order to encourage more men to stay home and care for their children while their partner works. Mark Henaghan is an Otago University law professor and expert in child-related law. He told Hamish Cardwell during an Insight investigation into stay-at-home fathers that the gender pay gap is one factor stopping more men from becoming the primary caregiver.
