Portugal swelters in record high temperatures

Across Europe temperatures are soaring as a heatwave plagues Spain and Portugal and other southern European countries. Temperatures are expected to get to around 50 degrees celcius in some places. The Portuguese capital beat a 1981 record for the hottest temperature ever recorded reaching 44 degrees. Our correspondent in Lisbon is Alison Roberts. She talks to Alex Perrottet.
