'Income adequacy' considered in welfare overhaul - Sepuloni

We return to our earlier story about the huge surge in families needing government help to put food on the table. Official figures from the Ministry of Social Development shows 26,000 more hardship grants for food were given out compared with the June quarter last year. Earlier in 2018 the government introduced its $5 billion Families Package, which was to put an extra $75 dollars a week in families' pockets. So how do we explain the increase in needy families? Social Development Minister Carmel Sepuloni discusses with Guyon Espiner.
