Taranaki stadium owner considers legal options

The Taranaki Stadium Trust is considering its legal options after engineering reports indicated Yarrow Stadium in New Plymouth had an excellent tolerance to earthquakes before it took over ownership of the stadium from the New Plymouth District Council in 2014. The stadium's East Stand was shut down in November last year and the West Stand in June after it was revealed they were both a significant earthquake risk.
