NZ Racing Board responds to Messara report

From Morning Report, 8:11 am on 31 August 2018

The head of the New Zealand Racing Board says there will be fierce debate over a recommendation to close almost half the racetracks in the country. An independent report into the state of the racing industry was released by Winston Peters on Thursday. It recommended cutting back the number of tracks from 48 to 28. The report also says the TAB's commercial activities should be run by an international operator. John Allen is the head of the New Zealand Racing Board. He talks to Susie Ferguson.
