Victoria close to becoming 'University of Wellington'

Victoria University is one step closer to becoming the University of Wellington. The name change has been recommended by vice-chancellor Grant Guilford to the university's council, which will make the final decision. This follows consultation and more than 2000 submissions from staff, students, alumni and other parties.
